It’s been six days of measuring my blood pressure. The highest it went was 127/75. This is one of the benefits of a healthy diet and of weight loss.
Learned: The “old” 1986 “Rotation Diet” book from Dr. Martin Katahn was written based on his experiences running the Vanderbilt Weight Clinic which did research and worked with patience on weight loss. The field is called “Bariatrics” by the docs.
Learned: A person with a Body Mass Index of 40 has three times the risk of death from disease as a person with a normal or “athletic” BMI based on a slide from three Vanderbilt docs talking about laparoscopic gastrectomy.
