Weight:  198.2 11:30 PM 3/13/2010

Inspired by two teachers who started an experiment to live for a month on $1/day per person:  The had over a million blog viewers and have written a book and been on Oprah.   I’m feeling better about my dramatic weight loss because Christopher Greenslate lost 13 pounds in 30 days and his partner, Kerri Leonard, lost 5 pounds during the same period.

New info:  Mike McAllister, Humana Health CEO said that almost all of the money spent on his employees’ health care goes to those who have a Body Mass Index (BMI) over 30.   This page has a BMI calculator:   This is simply a height/weight calculation and correlates closely with health care costs.

Mine (true weight with no clothes) measures 30.1.  It was 32.4 last month!


  • Down 1.8 lbs in 8 hours.  Cameron Garnder who works out at Gold’s Gym every day said to rehydrate in the morning with two glasses of water before weighing in.  I’ll try that practice.  I had exercised yesterday from 7:30-8:30 PM and noticed my metabolic rate was up overnight.
  • The Royal Taj food is still with me.
  • Beautiful day today!

Breakfast (late):  1/2 cup oatmeal, 6 oz. coffee.

Lunch (late):  7 oz. Tomato Bisque, cold  (yummy)

Dinner:  2.5 oz spaghetti pasta, 2 oz sauce.  I’m hungry but not too hungry.

Snack:  (10:30 PM)  3 oz potato and 3 oz green chicken veggie curry, then 3 oz ice cream.
